According to the Pennsylvania Game Commission our area has limitations on permissible hunting weapons. They are: Shotguns, Muzzle Loaders (flintlock) and Bow and Arrows. NO RIFLES Shotguns and Muzzle Loaders MUST BE 150 yards away from occupied dwellings (house, barn, etc. – humans or animals) and Bow and Arrow hunting MUST BE 50 yards away from occupied dwellings (house, barn, etc.).
Any citizen who sees what they believe is an infraction, they should call the Game Warden, Keith Mullen, 610-926-3136 or 610-926-3137
The PA State Police will respond to hunting complaints, 610-268-2022 or 9-1-1 (if an emergency).
Londonderry Township property owners should post their property if it is likely to be hunted or adjacent to land that is hunted. All licensed hunters know the regulations, especially those restricting hunting in residential areas as well as the required permission to hunt on private/public land.
On June 12th PennDOT representatives and their design engineering team were present in the Township Municipal Building to present several alternative improvement plans for the intersection of Route 41 and 926. The purpose of the meeting was to inform Township residents of four proposed alternatives for the intersection. Alternatives 1, 3 and 4 were carried forward from the preliminary meeting and, at the suggestion of environmental resource agencies, a new alternative, Alternative 5, was developed. The layout and impacts of the four alternatives were available at the meeting and are currently available at www.pa41.com.
Large drawings and comparison charts are available for review in the Municipal Building during normal office hours, Monday through Thursday, from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM. There are Comment Cards available which allow residents to voice their opinions and select the Alternative you feel best suits the needs of our citizens. Alternatively, residents may go to the website listed above to review the material presented and provide your comments and/or suggestions on line. PennDOT and the design engineering team are extremely interested in your comments so please offer them your 2 cents.
PennDOT must have all responses by the end of June as PennDOT follow up planning sessions will commence in July. Thank you for your interest and your input.
