Eastern Shore Natural Gas (ESNG) has applied for permission to construct a 16-inch diameter natural gas transmission pipeline in Londonderry Township and other surrounding townships. The new pipeline, designated "The Daleville Loop" will be installed next to the existing pipeline which is located on Township properties. Please read the information below which will explain the ESNG project.
This project is comprised of approximately 7.2 miles of 16 inch diameter pipeline looping and appurtenant facilities in Chester County and 3,550 horsepower of additional compression at the existing Delaware City Compressors Station in New Castle County, DE. The proposed route will use a combination or existing right-of-way and, in some areas, the purchase of easements for facilities or temporary work spaces for construction activities will be needed.
Should there be further interest in this project there are additional materials available for review in the Londonderry Township Municipal Building at 103 Daleville Road, Cochranville, PA 19330. Office hours are Monday through Thursday, 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM. The office is closed on Fridays.

Emily Artinian and her group at Street Road Artists’ Space, in conjunction with the Londonderry Township Historical Committee, are planning an exhibit of photographs, stories, newspaper articles, oral histories and artifacts from May 21st through July 15, 2016. The exhibit will be displayed at the Street Road Artists’ Space at the intersection of Rt. 926 and Rt. 41.
Post cards have been prepared and will arrive in Township residents’ mailboxes in the next few days. Please look for these post cards and post them on your cork boards or refrigerators to remind you of the upcoming event.
The Historical Committee is requesting donations of Londonderry memorabilia which may be out of sight and out of mind in drawers, cupboards, basements or attics. It’s amazing what may be lurking in forgotten out of the way storage areas. When spring cleaning begins, please keep in mind there may be some wonderful items others would find highly interesting. Things like old photos, newspaper clippings, and stories of life in Londonderry. Donated items may be dropped off at the Township Municipal Building, Monday through Thursday, between 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM. The Historical Committee members will be happy to accept donations as well.
Please place 7000 Acres – A Residents’ History on your calendar for May 21 through July 15, 2016. The opening reception will be held on May 21st from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM. For those who have lived in Londonderry for years you may see these artifacts and be prompted to take a walk down memory lane. For those who have not been in the area for very long or for youngsters, it will be fun to see how it was in "the olden days" or perhaps more accurately from a child’s point of view - "the days of yore".
